What do heart disease mean?

Coronary blood vessels are the blood vessels circulating on the outside side of the heart muscle and function to deliver blood to the heart itself.

When there is a process of hardening (accumulation of a mixture of calcium and fat) inside the coronary blood vessels, or when constriction occurs in these blood vessels, it is possible that the narrowing in the cavity, which impedes the delivery of blood to the heart muscle.

Any heart attack or contraction can cause a temporary or permanent decline in the heart’s ability to contract.

When the heart’s ability to contract is affected, there is a decline in blood flow to vital organs in the body. This angina pectoris causes angina pectoris, and if permanent damage to the heart muscle occurs, the myocardial infarction is generated.

People who suffer from angina or myocardial infarction may feel pain or pressure on the chest wall, sometimes accompanied by sweating, choking, breathlessness, nausea, and general weakness.

This situation is a state of emergency that requires urgent medical intervention.

Treatment options in such cases are multiple and varied, such as drug therapy or catheterization to open and enlarge closed blood vessels

But the best option in this case is prevention such as non-smoking, maintaining the balance of blood lipid levels, exercise physical activity.

It may sometimes be necessary to transfer the patient to the operating theater to perform a Coronary artery bypass graft. This surgery can be performed quickly as an emergency surgery, or as a pre-planned surgical procedure based on the results of various tests requiring surgical intervention.
